If you’re new to heat, hot yoga class expectations can feel unclear—especially if you’ve only seen the “push harder” version online.
Here’s what we want you to know: heated practice can be both strong and soft. You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to modify. You’re allowed to step out and come back in.
Hydrate, eat lightly if needed, and bring water. You don’t need fancy gear—just something you can move in.
Let breath-led movement guide you. Rest is part of the practice. If the room feels intense, take child’s pose, slow your pace, or find the edge that’s actually yours.
Give yourself a few minutes to land. Heat can bring up emotion as much as sweat—be gentle with what surfaces.
